This Hampton Lake Craftsman is a true, custom home designed with the wide, shallow lot in mind, which afforded expansive lake views from as many rooms as possible. The floor plan, a joint effort between Coastal Signature Homes, the client, and the architect, incorporated many of the clients’ unique interests and needs. The study, integrated into the master wing of the residence, provides the semi-retired owners a quiet space for few hours work each day away from the business of the common areas of the home. The wine room with bespoke wine storage houses the homeowners’ expansive collection and is a conversation piece for their guests. The oversized space over the garage houses long-term guests, and the bunkroom for grandchildren is a particularly magical touch. Other interior details of note are the impressive, solid, poplar millwork features, seagrass wall coverings, the expansive screen porch with outdoor kitchen, designer lighting, Fieldstone cabinetry with built in coffee bar, and the home’s unique focal point, the tailor-made pewter range hood, made locally by a metalsmith in Savannah.
