Item deOn the north end of Upper Cane Island, less than ten minutes from downtown Beaufort, sits a 230-acre former daffodil farm once owned by the Trask family. Bounded by the Beaufort River and Distant Island Creek, the property remained largely untouched through the 20th century.
Today it is being carefully developed as Kane Island. The first release offers sixteen estate homesites on 126 acres—lots ranging from 1.3 to 4 acres, most with deep-water access and pre-approved docks. These are the largest and most privately sited parcels on the island.

Sixteen waterfront homesites along Kane Island’s north shore. Each enjoys river and marsh views, is embraced by live oaks and magnolias, and sits within a short stroll of planned amenities while remaining quietly set apart.
Almost all sites offer deep-water access. Docks on these lots have already received preliminary approval. The scale is intentionally restrained: large lots, protected trees, and a measured approach that prioritizes privacy and connection to the land.
